Wasn't sure I needed this piece until the wall-mounted cable setup started flexing under heavier pulls. It locks the rear base down solid, and now the whole rack barely moves during lat pulldowns. Worth grabbing if you're running the Athena system against a wall.
Bolted this onto my 5000 Series rack in about twenty minutes and the whole Athena setup feels rock solid against the wall now, zero wobble when I’m doing cable flyes. The base plate lines up perfectly with the pre-drilled holes, which saved me a ton of measuring guesswork.
I was dreading wall-mounting this thing, but the bracket's design made leveling it against my rack almost foolproof, and now the cable pulls feel rock-solid with zero sway. It's exactly the missing piece if you're bolting a cable system to a wall and hate any hint of wobble mid-rep.
