The decline setting actually locks in solid, which I didn't expect at this price. I've been using it for incline presses three times a week and the pad doesn't slide or wobble at all.
Switching from flat to incline to decline takes maybe two seconds—that ladder adjustment is buttery smooth and clicks into place with zero wobble. The pad is wider than my old bench and the steel frame doesn't flex even when I'm loading up heavy dumbbells.
The ladder on this thing is rock solid—zero wobble even when I'm racking heavy dumbbells for incline presses. Adjusting between flat and each angle takes one smooth pull, and the pad is grippy enough that I don't slide around on decline sets.
