The 29mm shaft feels solid in my hands, and the knurling bites just right on heavy pulls without shredding my palms. It’s been my go-to for deadlifts and squats for a month now, and the grip hasn’t loosened one bit.
The 29mm shaft feels noticeably thicker than my old bar, and it sits rock-solid in the rack during heavy deadlifts. I’ve put in about three months of sessions and the knurling hasn’t worn down at all, which is exactly what I wanted for grip security without gloves.
The knurling is aggressive enough that I never worry about grip slipping on deadlifts, even with chalk. Only gripe is it took a few sessions for my hands to get used to the bite, but that's a fair trade for the stability.
