Switching between flat and incline takes just a second with the ladder-style adjustment, and the pad barely moves even when I'm pressing heavy. The gap between the seat and back pad is small enough that I don't feel it digging in during incline work. Solid buy for a home setup.
Finally swapped my old wobbly bench for this one and the difference is night and day, the ladder-style adjustment clicks into place so solidly I never worry about it shifting mid-set. The padding is firm enough for heavy pressing but not punishing on my back during longer incline sessions.
Set the seat to the steepest incline and it feels rock solid even when I’m pushing heavy dumbbells; no wobble at all.
